About Spiderbait

As brash and confident as they are strange and uncompromising, the three founding members of Spiderbait – Janet, Whitt and Kram – began humbly in the rural NSW township of Finley, inspired by everything from Slayer to The Bangles, creating an intoxicating and unique thrash-pop brew.

Cutting their teeth playing raw, idiosyncratic tunes in a shed on Janet’s family farm, they soon relocated to Melbourne and quickly became a vital part of the city’s thriving scene. From there, they cemented their reputation as national treasures.

• Seven acclaimed albums with gold, platinum or double platinum status

• Over one million Australian album sales

• Winners of numerous ARIA Awards

• A #1 single with their legendary 2004 cover of Black Betty

• Topped the triple j Hottest 100 with Buy Me A Pony (1996)

Known for their explosive live shows, Spiderbait have dominated every stage they’ve set foot on – from Splendour In The Grass and Big Day Out to Meredith, Falls Festival and A Day On The Green. They’ve shared stadiums with Guns N’ Roses and Pink, and played alongside legends such as Beastie Boys, Rollins Band, Midnight Oil and Cold Chisel.

With their cheeky arrangements and fearless style, Spiderbait remain one of Australia’s most reliable and beloved live acts. And now, they’re ready to bring the fire to Rockhampton.

Yeah? Oh Yeah! Bam Balam.
